2017’s Most Popular Home

Everyone knows how popular Chip and Joanna Gaines from Fixer Upper are, and for good reason: the shotgun house that they renovated in season 3 attracted the most clicks of any listing this year. Although its popularity has soared this year, this has not resulted in a sale: most likely because of the hefty price tag of $950,000 with a not-so-impressive square footage of 1,050.

The home is located at 624 S 7th Street in Waco, Texas and is just minutes away from Magnolia Market, making it the perfect spot for Fixer Upper fans to call home. Although the home has previously been used as an Airbnb running at $325 a night, the Gaines prefer their clients live in the home renovated for them.

The median price per square foot of a home in Waco is around $100, but this shotgun-style home is asking for a hefty $905 per square foot. Bigger cities such as San Francisco and Manhattan may be used to a price tag this large, but Waco residents surely aren’t. A bright side, though, is that the home comes with all of the decor and furnishings picked out by none other than Joanna Gaines herself: a perk that many would pay just about anything for.
